Erick Sandoval-Martinez – 2025
Elizabethtown College
UCH Mentor: Marjy Schubauer
Erick Sandoval-Martinez has been a high achieving student at Harrisburg High School’s SciTech campus while being involved in the band, working two after-school jobs, and volunteering at hospitals and clinics. One of his volunteer jobs was in transporting patients. He shared how much he loved seeing their joy when they were able to leave the hospital. He also has been awarded the Civics Club Certificate of Recognition.
Erick has committed to Elizabethtown College this Fall in their Honors Program. He plans to double major in Biology (pre-health sciences) and Health Administration.
His dreams for the future are to work for healthcare as a trauma nurse or doctor. He desires to contribute to the community in this way as well as to pursue the education that his parents were not able to receive. He hopes that in doing so, he can help them out of poverty.
