We welcome Rev. Sunshine J Wolfe to lead worship this Sunday with the message “Compassionate Community: At Once Whole and Separate.”
“Our world is messy, complicated, and, at times, overwhelming. It can bring us joy and wonder. It can break our hearts. Sometimes all at the same time. In community, it can be complicated when we have different experiences and yet that is the power of a compassionate community. Through story and song, we will explore together what it means to be at once whole and broken, apart and in community, well boundaried and compassionate.”
Sunshine is UUA Congregational Field Staff for the Central East Region serving congregations in western Pennsylvania and across Ohio. Ghe identifies as genderqueer and transgender and uses any third gender pronoun including they/their, ghe/gher, and zi/hir.
Join us Sunday morning at 10:30 in the sanctuary. The requirement of masks is based on the current COVID community risk level in Dauphin County. Masks are required for medium or high risk levels; they are optional when the county is in the low risk level.
You can also livestream the service via Zoom. The Zoom link for the October 2nd service will be emailed Sunday morning. To subscribe to our email list, click on News in the menu bar above.
