Join us as we celebrate Star Wars/Comic Book Day by exploring how storytelling – and the way we engage stories – shapes our perception of the world around us. Together, we’ll find paths to resistance, including advocacy for the vulnerable and marginalized through comic book narratives. We’ll see how stories reflect our culture – and show how we need each other. Everyone can be a superhero in their own story – but no one can do it alone. Community is key. Please feel free to bring your favorite comic book/graphic novel to church. And bring ones you may like to trade with others. You’re encouraged to chat about your favorites and trade, if you like, at coffee hour!
